As Ewoyaa moves from approval into construction and operation, the catchment communities around it are weighing real opportunities — jobs, royalties, infrastructure — against real concerns: resettlement, compensation and environmental safeguards. Our role is to help both sides of that conversation happen on solid, well-informed ground.

How We're Supporting the Ewoyaa Catchment

Two strands of research assistance we currently provide around the Ewoyaa Lithium Project.

Helping Communities Understand the Project

We work directly with communities in the Ewoyaa catchment area to explain, in plain terms, what large-scale lithium mining means for them — the opportunities alongside the areas that need improvement — so residents can engage from an informed position as the project develops.

  • Plain-language briefings on the mining lease and what it means locally
  • Facilitating community Q&A sessions with company and government representatives
  • Documenting community concerns on resettlement, compensation and environmental safeguards
  • Connecting residents with existing legal aid, land rights and compensation resources

Supporting International Students & Researchers

We brief and orient international students and researchers studying the Ewoyaa Lithium Project — providing background context, connecting them with communities and stakeholders, and supporting responsible, well-informed fieldwork on the ground.

  • Pre-visit orientation briefings and background reading
  • Introductions to chiefs, community leaders and local stakeholders
  • Fieldwork logistics support: access, translation and scheduling
  • Guidance on respectful, ethical engagement with an affected community
